Most people have a gap under the arch of their feet when they are standing. Flat feet are a condition in which the foot arch is lower than usual. In some cases the flat feet may roll over to the inner side when they are walking or standing which is known as over-pronation. Most individuals who excessively over-pronate experience some level of pain or discomfort. Adult Acquired Flatfoot is a condition which occurs when the tendon holding the arch in the proper position gets inflamed or injured. Chronic rigid flat foot and functional limb length discrepancies might develop if left untreated.
